Hello! I’m just popping in to participate in Emma’s Splash of Color this month. Emma started the Splash of Color to cheer us up during the dreary winter months. And it’s surely dark and dreary here in ThimbleannaLand today.
I looked around, and the most colorful thing here (aside from my fabrics, yarns and threads) is my jar of M&Ms. I know we’re not supposed to be eating them this time of year, but I can’t help it. It’s so gray and sad. We NEED the cheering up. There were quite a few brown M&Ms in the pile, but they aren’t colorful, so I sacrificed for you and the need for a colorful picture. I disposed of them. In my mouth.

that’s a pretty colorful picture…so cheerful! and really what we (i) need right now {ugh…today we had freezing rain and i rather skated than walked to the subway…i had to travel out of the city and when i wanted to get home, the bus were out of service…yay! :)}.
thanks for cheering me up with m&m’s (hmmm…just recently learned that there are more than the 3 types we get here in germany…i especially love the peanut butter ones…oh, one more reason to come to the us…someday!)
There is a specific time of the year to eat m&m’s? I never knew that! I am afraid I have been violating that law all my life! ;-)

Oh, love your splash of color! I hope your dreary day gets better and the sun comes out. Winter isn’t half as bad if the sun comes out and warms things up.

Anna, your generosity and longsuffering is beyond compare. That you would sacrifice yourself to rid the bowl of non-colorful M&M’s is just wonderful. They are pretty. Makes me want to go and buy some. But I’m not. I’m staying at home. I’m pretty sure.
I take it that all the colourful M and Ms are still sitting round as decorations? You didn’t feel the need to tidy up any of them?
Mind you, you’re a slender person who can eat such things without guilt…
Thanks for reminding me that I have a big bag of Christmas M&Ms squirreled away that I didn’t use over the hoidays. ;-)
Okay, now I want to make an M&M quilt! How cute would that be? You are such a hero for eating all of the yucky brown ones so that your photos would be spectacularly colorful. :)
M & M’s should be renamed rainbow drops I think because that is what they always remind me of. The brown ones are probably my favourite ones though! I have to say I dont buy them unless it is a party because otherwise my jar would always be emptied, lol!
As it happens the brown m&ms are my favourite. I eat them first and am happy to provide this service to you should you need it again.

Thanks for disposing of the brown ones. I just disposed of a whole bowl of M&Ms. And I wasn’t picky about color. LOL
oh man…. now I need to get on clothes.. shoes.. a hat.. coat… get the car out of the garage… and drive to the gas station for…. yes… M&Ms!!!!!!!

Gosh, sad and grey where you are- I don’t need any extra splashes of colour- it’s glarey and bright where I am- and FAR TOO HOT! 98.6 F predicted here for tomorrow- wouldn’t it be good if we could both have the average!

Being that I am trying my best to get rid of any extra “fluff” I have on me, this post was TORTURE. My absolute favorite color of m&m’s is the light brown color. I see that you still have plenty of them in your pile. I swear, Anna, I am salivating at this very moment. Carolina
