Happy Valentine’s Day!

I hope you’re all having (or have had) a good day! I had a quick over-night visit with TheFirstChild and SweetiePie last night and took them their Valentines. I gave SweetiePie the Cutie Pie Pennie Pocket I made and I made Valentine Boxers for TheFirstChild (and his brother too.)

Valentine Boxers

Like last year, SweetiePie did the boxer modeling for me, and like last year’s boxers, the fabric was primarily black, with a valentine print. I think I like the pin-up girls better for boxers, but these conversation hearts were fun too.

Valentine Bunny

I know the day is over for many of you, but Valentine Bunny and I just wanted to wish all of you, very dear and kind readers, a Happy Valentine’s Day!  I must run now and deliver a few pennie pockets to my valentines.  And then I’ll be making dinner for my special ValentineManoftheHouse (who just brought me a dozen pretty red roses and ran into BigDaddy buying some for MeMum while he was at the store — too funny!)

On the menu:  Steak Au Poivre, Potatoes Savoyarde, Oven Roasted Asparagus and Creme Brulee (omitting the grand marnier).

Yum and Smooches!

XOXO,
Anna

  1. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too Anna! Your dinner menu sounds delish. Can I come over too? We’re having a crockpot dinner. Nothing special. Neither of us have it in us to cook today. BTW – the Valentine’s bunny… TOO CUTE!

  2. Happy V-Day to you Anna. I love the Boxers and Really love the Valentine Bunny! She would look lovely on my sewing table. Teehee Dinner sounds wonderful, xoxo

  3. Happy Valentines to you too Anna! Poor Mr Locket and I were both poorly with colds yesterday and I didn’t even get round to making him a card – although I started following your crochet card tutorial – just didn’t finish it!!!

Never mind, I’ve just sent him to the supermarket to buy more chocolate!

  4. Happy Valentine’s Day Anna Anna Banana Nana… (i’m singing that by the way) The boxers are amazing, I’m going to be like you when I grow up. Your dinner sounds amazing. DH would love me just a little bit more if I had made that for him for dinner. We have a tradition of Salt and Pepper Crab for dinner for Valentine’s Day, which means we go out because I don’t know how to cook it. We cook our crab live, and SP crab is chopped up, so do you cook it first to kill it, or just chop it up while it’s running around??
I’m just kidding, but I was wondering how you make it yesterday, just not quite so graphically. and what, exactly, is a SIGGY swap, because you have a button, but it doesn’t link to anywhere – INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW. off to bake cookies.

  5. PS, I had no idea what Steaks au Poivre was until I looked it up – but it sounds like it would be a favorite of mine!

WHY DO YOU LIVE SO FAR AWAY???!!!!!!

  6. Happy Valentine’s Day Anna!!

Moogsdad made dinner last night – a Kashmiri Lamb curry – shared with me and the kids! The only trouble was I still got to clean up the kitchen and he used every pot and pan I own!!

Your Valentine’s Day sounds perfect. Beautifully modelled boxers, by the way :-)

  7. Oh yum, creme brulee is my all time favorite dessert…I’ve never put Grand Marnier in it but that sounds like something I might try…
    Adorable boxers!

  8. Those boxer shorts are too cute, love them! We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner, too–something my honey and I created together. And I certainly appreciate the recipe links you’ve posted, especially the creme brulee as it’s my absolute favorite dessert.

  9. Oh I’m a little late with this one but I hope you had a lovely day – your menu sounds delicious! Creme brulee – love the crunch! Those boxer shorts are excellent Anna, they’ve made me smile! Emma x
