At Last, The Final Wedding Post
June 25, 2008 on 12:47 am | In Wedding | 46 CommentsWell, we’re having a slow start to the week here. My weekend consisted of cleaning and trying to get back to normal after my trip last week. I also finally had some time to play around with some wedding pictures. There are tons and tons of them to look at and it’s hard to decide which ones we’ll want to put in albums or frame or whatever.
I love the first picture in this little grouping — can you see the groom getting used to the feel of that brand new ring on his finger?
So, lots of picture decisions to make in the days ahead!
Also, achtung (LOL):
- Do you love cupcakes? Sharon is having a cupcake swap. You better run over there and sign up.
- Cassie is giving away an adorable pincushion that just happens to match my blog wallpaper. It’s a sign LOL! It has some perfect embroidery on it — hurry and go sign up for that too.
It’s a busy week ahead here in ThimbleannaLand, so I have no idea when I’ll be able to check on you all. My best-ever aunt from Utah is coming tomorrow and we’ll be attending some local quilt show activities. And then, unbelievably, TheSecondChild will come home from his semester abroad on Thursday night (that was a fast 5 months.) I spoke with him this morning and I’m very pleased to report that he has survived, as he puts it, leaping into a gorge with a rubber band tied around his ankles in New Zealand. Yuck! He sure doesn’t get that sense of adventure from his mother — I can barely leap off of a bed!
I hope your week is cruising along on SUPER!
XOXO,
Anna

Oh, how lovely the wedding looks…perfect weather!
And your NYC adventure looked fun, too…I haven’t been in about 6 years so I am always trying to plot a way to get back!

Hi Anna,
Welcome back home! Those wedding pictures are so beautiful (and so are the people in them!). They made me sigh. I know a wedding is a common occurence, but it is always a touching event. Kind of like a new baby…it never gets old!
Also, a big thanks for the link to my giveaway. Fun, fun, fun!

Such beautiful photos. A lovely wedding!

Absolutely beautiful pictures! You are so lucky that your photographer showed up! Did I tell you ours didn’t? A Yosemite wedding was indeed beautiful, but in some way I wish they would have had it back where she’s from. She had no showers and wasn’t able to have some of the fancier things that brides have. All in all it was beautiful, though.

Beautiful pictures!! It looks like every detail was just lovely. It must be so hard to choose pictures – I remember looking at all my nephew’s online and it was overwhelming! Such a difference from the number of pics taken back when we got married – I guess that’s the world of digital photography for you.
Sounds like 2nd child must have had many adventures down under! How great that he got to go to NZ also, I’ve wanted to visit there ever since seeing the LOTR movies.

Comment by Ginger — June 25, 2008 #
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love them all, but especially the bottom picture. So cute. As for 2nd child – bungee jumping???? To me adventure is shopping at Wal-Mart on the weekend! Oh to be that carefree! Have a great weekend in spite of it being so busy.

Lovely pictures! I’m with you on the bungee jumping–terra firma for me!

Wonderful pictures of a beautiful wedding. I do like the “ring twist” that the Groom is doing! The cake is almost like my daughter’s wedding cake. She had brown ribbon around her layers.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it.

Beautiful pictures.
Your house looks like a palace to me. American houses are so big compared to British ones – or maybe you’re actually Anna Rockefeller? (is that how you spell it?) The wedding, too, looks amazingly lavish compared to British ones. Anna Getty, maybe.
Anyway, as usual, your posts are so cheerful and nice.

Your pictures are beautiful! Five months does go fast doesn’t it? My friend’s son arrived home from his semester in Austraila on Sunday night. He did the bungee jumping thing too as well as a few other “extreme” sports. I guess you have to have that type of personality in the first place to go half way around the world at 19 or 20!
Comment by Caryn — June 25, 2008 #
Oh, Anna, what a lovely set of wedding pictures! I really like how the bottom one supports the whole collage.
Enjoy your time with your aunt!
Glad to hear your son is coming home–those 5 months DID go fast!

thanks for these gorgeous photos, love the long one at the bottom! We both fiddled with our rings a lot at first, when we were on the ferry taking us to Venice there was another couple on it fiddling with their rings, I asked them if they were just married, they were, just like us! Happy days!!

Wow, what great pictures. I love all the detail shots and it looks like everyone was having a great time. I hope it isn’t the last post of the wedding. I would love to see more pictures.
I bet you are thrilled that your son is back. I hope you got caught up on all the housework too. There is nothing like a clean house. (Mine was clean. I’ll be doing some digging out next week after the kids leave…some of them anyway.) Miss you, Kim

Hope you are recoving from all your festivities.
