TheFirstChild's Graduation Quilt
Pattern:
- No pattern. Friends and relatives all wrote on white fabric. Wonky corners were put on each signature block and then trimmed to create square blocks.
- Odd borders were then mixed with an embroidered inspirational quote and arranged with the blocks until a rectangular lap size quilt was created.
Materials:
- Lots of mixed batiks.
- A fun quote.
Additional Info:
- This quilt was made for TheFirstChild as a high school graduation gift.
- The quilt was stipple quilted on a domestic machine.
- One of TheFirstChild’s favorite quotes was put on the front: “When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’ll be smiling and everyone around you will be crying.”
