Bright and early on our last day, Gudrun drove 4 of us to the airport for our early morning flight. I loved this large mural in the little airport.
We breezed through security and after a short wait, it was time to board our plane. It was nice to fly from Shetland, having arrived on the ferry. I loved the ferry and would definitely take it again, but if you’re in a hurry, flying is the way to go. The flight was only 90 minutes to Edinburgh and we had perfect flying weather.
I was sad to be leaving Shetland, but what a wonderful trip we had. Wonderful knitting hostesses, the perfect place to stay, SO many fun activities packed into every day, amazing women to share the week with, and a great travel companion. What more could you ask for? I want to go back and do it all again!
