Well, how was the weekend? We had some gorgeous weather here — crisp and cool on Saturday and perfect on Sunday. I don’t really have anything fun to show — no completed projects or anything fun like that. The weekend was mostly things that had to be done, with little bits of stolen fun moments.
Little Bits of Knitting. I started those sheepy socks (aka Flock Socks) and I’m very excited about them!
Little Bits of Quilting. 59 completed blocks — only 5 more to go!
Little bits of applique. I ran out of leaves, so more are being prepped.
And, Little bits of trench digging. You know, just a normal weekend in ThimbleannaLand.
I think the only fully completed project was to create that new Thimbleanna banner up there. ‘Cause we now find ourselves solidly into a new season. Where oh Where did September go????
XOXO,
Anna
I love your new banner, and your socks, and your applique, and your quilt blocks. That’s not THE Irish Chain quilt, is it???
As for digging a trench…well, that looks like work.
Little bits add up to big bits. I think the sewing and knitting looks more fun than the trenching.
Love your new pun’kin banner.
Jody
It looks to me like you did quite a bit. And all your projects (except the trenching, sorry) look interesting. I really, really like the tiny little squares all sewn together into those blocks. You’re a better man than me, Thimbleanna!!!
Love the banner! Had a busy weekend, son got married and out of town company required a trip to Disneyland on Sunday! I need a weekend off now to get my projects organized and ready to sew, I’d get more done in the evening if I was ready. and what are you making with that yummy, yummy aqua and red?
I love Mrs Pumpkin in your new blogheader!

I love the pumpkin banner! The socks look great and are even in my favourite color.
The flock socks are going to be adorable as are the quilts. The trench, not so much, but I’m sure it has it’s purpose.
Great banner! I’m intrigued by your blocks and can’t wait to see them all together.
new banner is adorable! & your trench looks just like mine…we just put in the perforated piping & gravel…not much fun…
i rather be baking & reading your blog!!! LOL LNB
It is so sad to see the trees being cut down. We have had to cut quite a few in the last year.
Love the banner…and the sock colors. I’m knitting some for my DH and they’re pretty, but the colors are drab. They’re taking forever. Maybe I should cast on a pretty color for me? :)
I always wonder what you’re going to come up with on the banner…Love it! Love the sock yarn. I’ve got a baby sweater I’m making for our newest grandson. I’m happy to say I’m on the sleeves now :) I love making things for wee-ones, it goes soooo much faster.
Aaah, busy hands produce much good work! Love the banner. I want to re-decorate my blog but still don’t know what I want the result to be…
Nice trench……and I can’t believe you made that many of those blocks – impressive!
Oh I can’t wait to see those socks done!! Your new banner is pretty cute too. Sounds like you had a good and productive weekend (even if it was in little bits).
Oooooh, I love the yarn! Those are going to be snazzy socks. ;0
love the banner too. ;0
you should call in ‘too tired’ to work. i would. ;0
you ARE the glamorous one! are you going to be at market? i wrote to kellie about interviewing her
Love the new banner!
We just had a trench dug last week, but it was dug by someone else (contactor)and paid for by someone else (previous owner) so not too stressful. ;-) I hope all of our drainage problems are taken care of now and we can get back to focusing on the important things…like quilting.
Your weekend is photoed so pretty. Makes me want to touch everything. Except the dirt!
Well, aren’t you just the lucky one, getting to dig a trench!! Love the new banner, and all your little bits of projects. The sheepie socks are on my to-do list!!
The header shot is fab! Love the pumpkins eyes. And those socks are going to be great. We had horrible weather here this weekend whilst England basked in sunshine. Hopefully it will at least be dry this weekend!
Love your new header! So adorable….such a creative little mind you have, Anna! One day I will learn to knit….I SOOOO appreciate knitted projects. Love the socks. And that quilt will be just gorgeous! So many tiny little squares! Such patience it must take to get them so precise!
It WAS a beautiful weekend, wasn’t it!! Pretty socks, I love the color combination! Can’t wait to see the finished product. :)
Can’t wait to see your sheepy socks!
It is great to see progress shots of all your projects.
Trench digging doesn’t look much like fun, but I love the rest of your weekend projects!
Weekend? There was a weekend? I must have missed it. Kids and their extra-curricular activities …
Busy girl, LOVE the banner!!! Clarice
You are such an inspiration, Miss Anna; I love the new seasonal header. Sorry to see your ash trees go down. We lost ours a few years earlier and went through the same. Sad news concerning Steve Jobs, too. Well, I’ve caught up on my favorite blog (well, one of the top 10–’cause I know others are watching). Love that autumn is here!
That new header just made me laugh! Little bits here and there eventually get the job done, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time. Love the wool for the socks!
Ooh Anna, your new socks look delish. And I love the new header. TOO cute!
You got little bits of a lot of stuff done, Anna! So what’s up with the trench digging? Are you doing something exciting like putting in plumbing for a new hot tub or gas lines for a new gas stove?
Love the new banner! Very creative!
I am so amazed at you knitters. I truly am. Beth knitted me a pair of socks and I love them. They look store bought. Just perfect.
Not sure where Sept. went but I’m glad October is here!
Love all the bits you are working on –
Your header is adorable – you are so creative, I love coming by for some inspiration –
trench digging – ouch!
Good job on those blocks…5 will be done in no time flat. Just keep sewing. I love the banner…so happy fall is here.
I would like to thnkx for your efforts you’ve got set in creating this website. I’m hoping the same high-grade web site publish from you in the upcoming as well. In fact your creative creating abilities has inspired me to acquire my own website now. Actually the running a blog is spreading its wings quickly. Your write up is really a excellent example of it.
The banner is so perfect, your images are always such a pleasure to look at and the quilt blocks! I am in awe, are they made up of teeny tiny squares? Gorgeous colours.
