Well, we’re having a slow start to the week here. My weekend consisted of cleaning and trying to get back to normal after my trip last week. I also finally had some time to play around with some wedding pictures. There are tons and tons of them to look at and it’s hard to decide which ones we’ll want to put in albums or frame or whatever.
I love the first picture in this little grouping — can you see the groom getting used to the feel of that brand new ring on his finger?
So, lots of picture decisions to make in the days ahead!
Also, achtung (LOL):
- Do you love cupcakes? Sharon is having a cupcake swap. You better run over there and sign up.
- Cassie is giving away an adorable pincushion that just happens to match my blog wallpaper. It’s a sign LOL! It has some perfect embroidery on it — hurry and go sign up for that too.
It’s a busy week ahead here in ThimbleannaLand, so I have no idea when I’ll be able to check on you all. My best-ever aunt from Utah is coming tomorrow and we’ll be attending some local quilt show activities. And then, unbelievably, TheSecondChild will come home from his semester abroad on Thursday night (that was a fast 5 months.) I spoke with him this morning and I’m very pleased to report that he has survived, as he puts it, leaping into a gorge with a rubber band tied around his ankles in New Zealand. Yuck! He sure doesn’t get that sense of adventure from his mother — I can barely leap off of a bed!
I hope your week is cruising along on SUPER!
XOXO,
Anna
What gorgeous photo’s Anna, it sure would be hard to choose. Thanks for the tip about Cassie’s pincushion, what a lovely blog she has.
Anna the pictures are gorgeous! I mean they look like a magazine spread…nicely done! How wonderful that No.2 Son is coming home…5 months…wow that must have been great for him, but I’m sure he missed his Mom! :) Have fun with your Aunt and have a great week!
Wow, beautiful photos, what a stylish wedding x
Beautiful wedding photos – it certainly is going to be hard for you to choose! Hope No 2 son enjoyed his time down under!
Anna

Lissa
who wanted to do bungee jumpin’ in NZ but it was too darn windy :O( so I went scuba diving with sharks when I come home instead!
Just beautiful – you have put it together so well. Thanks so much for sharing.
Happy reunion with number 2 son. Our big day is tomorrow – you will probably hear me crying from over there.
Anna those photos are superb! i love the colours, they are beautiful You know it won’t be long before Martha will be advocating the black and white wedding colour theme. Have a super week

Wow Anna, the photos are indeed a page from a glossy magazine! Love the one below. And I’m happy for you to welcome your son back home!
The photos are beautiful! And I do love the one of him touching the ring on his finger!
Oh, how lovely the wedding looks…perfect weather!
And your NYC adventure looked fun, too…I haven’t been in about 6 years so I am always trying to plot a way to get back!
Hi Anna,
Welcome back home! Those wedding pictures are so beautiful (and so are the people in them!). They made me sigh. I know a wedding is a common occurence, but it is always a touching event. Kind of like a new baby…it never gets old!
Also, a big thanks for the link to my giveaway. Fun, fun, fun!
Cassie
all the photos are fabulous, but the bottom one is my absolute favorite!
Such beautiful photos. A lovely wedding!
Absolutely beautiful pictures! You are so lucky that your photographer showed up! Did I tell you ours didn’t? A Yosemite wedding was indeed beautiful, but in some way I wish they would have had it back where she’s from. She had no showers and wasn’t able to have some of the fancier things that brides have. All in all it was beautiful, though.
Beautiful pictures!! It looks like every detail was just lovely. It must be so hard to choose pictures – I remember looking at all my nephew’s online and it was overwhelming! Such a difference from the number of pics taken back when we got married – I guess that’s the world of digital photography for you.
Sounds like 2nd child must have had many adventures down under! How great that he got to go to NZ also, I’ve wanted to visit there ever since seeing the LOTR movies.
Lovely photos. Such great memories for you. It is all so pretty and classy. Have a nice busy week.
That wedding should have been in a magazine… So beautiful!
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love them all, but especially the bottom picture. So cute. As for 2nd child – bungee jumping???? To me adventure is shopping at Wal-Mart on the weekend! Oh to be that carefree! Have a great weekend in spite of it being so busy.
Lovely pictures! I’m with you on the bungee jumping–terra firma for me!
Wonderful pictures of a beautiful wedding. I do like the “ring twist” that the Groom is doing! The cake is almost like my daughter’s wedding cake. She had brown ribbon around her layers.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it.

Beautiful pictures.
Your house looks like a palace to me. American houses are so big compared to British ones – or maybe you’re actually Anna Rockefeller? (is that how you spell it?) The wedding, too, looks amazingly lavish compared to British ones. Anna Getty, maybe.
Anyway, as usual, your posts are so cheerful and nice.
Your pictures are beautiful! Five months does go fast doesn’t it? My friend’s son arrived home from his semester in Austraila on Sunday night. He did the bungee jumping thing too as well as a few other “extreme” sports. I guess you have to have that type of personality in the first place to go half way around the world at 19 or 20!
Oh, Anna, what a lovely set of wedding pictures! I really like how the bottom one supports the whole collage.
Enjoy your time with your aunt!
Glad to hear your son is coming home–those 5 months DID go fast!
XO
Great pictures of a beautiful bride and the wedding party. I know you have to enjoy looking at them over and over. Thanks for sharing!
These wedding pictures are FABULOUS! I especially love the bottom wide shot. What fun picture.
So, so gorgeous!! I love the whole black and white theme – very sophisticated!
What fun and gorgeous photos!
Thanks for sharing!
Those are just the most wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing.
thanks for these gorgeous photos, love the long one at the bottom! We both fiddled with our rings a lot at first, when we were on the ferry taking us to Venice there was another couple on it fiddling with their rings, I asked them if they were just married, they were, just like us! Happy days!!
Oh Anna those photos are gorgeous!!! I really love the group one at the bottom – everyone is having so much fun! Thank you for showing them to us! Lucy x
What beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Those photos are lovely!
It will be hard choosing just a few.
My son did a Bungie Jump in NZ. My heart still stops every time I watch the video!!
Anna:
What a classy wedding…but I knew it would be.
Thanks for all the leads….Cassy and Judy from Brocante & Etc. – Which BTW…we live close to each other. I would like to get to know her better.
Dianne

now… onto cupcakes… the SWAP IS OVER!! i posted and my post is NOT there any longer, and she posted in red that it’s OVER. i sooo wanted to be in a cupcake swap. i’m going to swap with myself, haha. i am. wait ’til you see what cute little cupcake thingy i make for my swap with me. i’m such a good swap partner, i can’t wait to see what i make! :)
okay, what’s this? half of my comment was AXED. is there a limit now? because of me, haha!!!!
i’m excited for your auntie, your son coming home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i belabored the part about your son coming home because i’m an overprotective spaz who is extremely attached to her kids and i am just absolutely giddy any time one of my kids has been gone and is coming home.
oh well…
i’ll talk to you next week some time, perhaps and have a blast with your family!!!
Best. Photos. Ever.
Gorgeous bash y’all had, and a pretty new daughter to boot!
The wedding pictures are beautiful. I would hate to have to pick, I’d want them all.
Thanks for mentioning my swap. We’ve got lots of swappers. It’s gonna be fun.
Glad the child has finished school abroad and coming home. I’ve seen you leap off a chair before and you looked pretty good. LOL!!!!
Such fabulous photos. I blogged about cupcakes today as well.
The wedding photos are so beautiful – I’m not surprised it’s going to be tricky choosing!
I’m right with you on the bungee thing. it’s against all my instincts to throw myself off anything high up!!
xxx
Hi Anna! What beautiful photos! The flowers are beautiful! You must have all the photos!!!!!
WOW! Every photo is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn’t be able to choose. You have your work cut out for you! I think my favorite is the one at the bottom – they all look so happy and care-free.
I joined the cupcake swap, too! It’s gonna be fun!
Have a wonderful week, Anna!
Wow, what great pictures. I love all the detail shots and it looks like everyone was having a great time. I hope it isn’t the last post of the wedding. I would love to see more pictures.
I bet you are thrilled that your son is back. I hope you got caught up on all the housework too. There is nothing like a clean house. (Mine was clean. I’ll be doing some digging out next week after the kids leave…some of them anyway.) Miss you, Kim
Lovely, lovely, lovely photos of the wedding. I am so happy you shared them. That is sure a neat one of the wedding party. Such a good display of honest emotions. Enjoy #2!
Oh my goodness what beautiful wedding photos!!! I totally understand the busy thing…why do I always think I’ll have more time in the Summer?
Fabulous photos! I love the black and white color scheme of the wedding party–very elegant.
Hello!
Just checking in, and what do I find…all these beautiful photos. Blessings to the happy couple! And you say that I am busy, looks like we both are. You were in NYC last week? So was Lizzy; tiny world.
Hope you are recoving from all your festivities.
take care,
Cherri
