Today is the 22nd anniversary of the birth of TheSecondChild!

I’ve always thought it was so cool that he was born on the first day of spring.  There’s nothing like a new baby when mother earth is waking up from her winter’s nap.  The birds were singing, the sun was shining and we were so blessed by the arrival of our little wild child.

He hasn’t always been this way and I’m pretty sure I didn’t drop him on his head when he was a baby.  He did have a harrowing birth though, and the Dr. joked that he didn’t “lose a brain cell.”  If only that Dr. could see him now.  Does this look like a kid with all his marbles???

Our little angel keeps us hopping and guessing and entertained.  These days he seems to have a penchant for jumping and in just a few short months, he’ll be jumping into a new life as he graduates from college.

We’re all crazy about our BigBoy and we hope that big jump will land him somewhere close to home. We miss you BigBoy and love you dearly — Happy, Happy Birthday!!!

    Happy Birthday to your Big Boy…My oldest one has a birthday today and he turns 30…Oh man did I say 30, I’m getting old, and I don’t think any of mine were ever that way…at least not in my eye shot. I hope he has a wonderful birthday.

    Happy Birthday to TheSecondChild!!Where does the time go? My nephew is here working on the farm over his spring break and I can’t believe he’s almost 20. (i think i’m getting old)

    Oh my gracious, what a daring one you have!! I’m surprised you ever let him out of you sight. Or maybe you were glad that you didn’t have to witness all those antics. Who knows, maybe you were the one he modeled them after!!! Yeah, that’s it.

    Have you looked at us on Google Street View or whatever it’s called? You can have a walk round our district! Unfortunately the catlets didn’t seem to be in the front garden when the van called round.

    What a perfect day to have a baby. The first day of spring is always one of my favorites. I know it’s silly, but just knowing that the days are longer than the nights makes me giddy. Happy Birthday BigBoy.

    i’m cracking up at that first photo where everyone else looks terrified and he is completely crazed! i hope his birthday was wonderful! you must have the same mantra as me, “NO BROKEN BONES!” anytime my youngest goes snowboarding, i am texting that to him constantly! he’ll probably be pulling his phone out to read my “no broken bones” text, and break a bone!
