I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Easter! It’s been a blur this week and I’ve had major blog neglect to prove it. Poor little blog. The beginning of the week was just too boring with nothing exciting to post. But then things heated up for the weekend and I was just too busy. (I did manage to finally get rid of those goofy dancing thimbles on my blog header — did you notice?)
We had the family over for Easter Dinner this afternoon. We had our traditional Easter Dinner — Ham, Cheesy potatoes, a few vegetables, a few salads, Easter cupcakes and some other cakes that deserve a post all their own. Oh, and we usually have deviled eggs, but I ruined them. Too much mustard. Blech! Even CrazyBIL wouldn’t eat them and he’ll eat most anything!
Anyway, it’s over for another year so now I can get back to some of my other projects. Speaking of which, have you all seen the April Aurifil block of the month? Miss April is Gail Pan of Gail Pan Designs. I got the biggest smile when I saw her adorable block. When I found out I would be Miss May, I was going to contact Miss April and see if she wanted to do an April Showers Bring May Flowers combo. But then I realized that Gail is from Austrailia where they are going into fall, rather than spring, so I reasoned that the April Showers/May Flowers thing doesn’t apply down under and I gave up the plan. Oh well, I love Gail’s cute little block — it’s perfect for April!
Don’t forget to check out the Aurifil Block of the Month Flickr pool too — lots of cute blocks appearing there.
Have a good week — I’ll be back soon with a Tale of Two Cakes!
XOXO,
Anna
Love the cute little cupcake stands!
I completely understand; life sometimes just gets in the way of blogging. Glad to see you had a lovely Easter feast and those cupcakes look too cute to eat. Love the Aurifil block of the month by Gail Pan. Incidentally, I ran into her at my local quilt shop in Switzerland of all places, where she was teaching a class. Small world, eh? I’m looking forward to seeing what you are “cooking up” for May!
Haha, what’s up with the eggs, I was just ready to serve dinner when the hubby says, where’s the deviled eggs? I forgot to make them, the hard boiled eggs were just sitting in the frig. Love the table decor, so what flavor is the cupcake or is that part of the tale?
Oh, I miss the dancing thimbles. They were pretty cute. Beautiful table, those are great little cupcake stands.
Hi Anna and Happy Easter to to you too!! Your table looks beautiful and I love your little cupcake stands. Sweet new springy header!!
Happy Easter to you too! We are all off schools and work today as it is Easter Monday here. Love your table setting and those gorgeous little cupcake stands!
Love Gail’s block. I was so lucky to meet her last week end when she and Helen Stubbings of Hugs’n Kisses were having a week end class in Trondheim, Norway. Gail showed me a photo of her cute block. She is such a sweet lady!
PS. Forgot to say I’m looking forward to see your block for May!
I don’t know, I kind of liked your dancing thimbles :)
Pretty table and the cupcakes are adorable.
We had the exact same menu. Yum! I love your cupcake stands they are so darling with your easter cupcakes. I love your new banner so cute and clever too!
That was our menu too, I made a new cheesy potato..creamy potato with rosemary that was a big hit, fruit and green salad and I trusted the reviled eggs to my sil. And as usual I have cake stand envy…where did you find those adorable stands?
I love the header. Sweet. I knew you’d have a nice table for Sunday dinner. Those cupcake holders are so darling. Where did you get those?
I haven’t blogged either. It’s been mighty boring at my house. No sewing, no nuttin’ happening. I HOPE to get into the sewing room this week. I have a lot to work on and get done before the end of the month. Sounds like you had a wonderful Easter holiday! We did as well. Happy it’s over. I’m exhausted!
LOVE those individual cupcake stands!! Yeah, they are crazy expensive but look how cute they look??!! Priceless. ;p
I want to come to dinner at your house!!
Your table looks so pretty, and I, too, love the little cupcake stands. Any cupcake that looks that pretty definitely deserves its very own stand.
Happy Easter Miss Anna… you too cooked your guts out this weekend! I want my table to look like yours does on holidays when I grow up.
Sheesh, have you been making a list of the things I need to do when I grow up, cuz it’s gettin lloonnnggg!
love the new blog header.
You’re doing the Aurifil block for May? Wow! Can’t wait to see it! Brigita is right—I also want to have the Anna Decorating Touch when I grow up—not holding my breath for that to happen anytime soon though…..
Happy belated Easter. First LOVE the cupcake stands (thoses are Marth’s right??}. Second love the new banner. Very springy!! Clarice

Lovely Easter table, Anna! :) I loved that little block of the month and I cannot wait to see yours!! It’s so exciting!
According to your beautiful table you had a nicer Easter than me … I was laid up in bed with a horrible cold while hubby and kids went to MILs for lunch.
But I didn’t stop by to complain. (And I do feel a little better now … snork …) No, I came to inform you that all the pictures on Amber’s blog today were the ORIGINALS from like 2 months ago. To continue with the fart analogy, it smells pretty bad in here right now!! LOL! ;)
hugs
Gorgeous little cakes! I’m having a lovely holiday. Still a few days to go before heading back to school.
I would have eaten them I love mustard.
Hour table looks lovely!
I wasn’t able to leave a comment on your happy spring post…just wondering where you got the wooden thread spool holder shown in the bottom picture of that other post…genius…! That would be so nice to have to hold the thread when doing handwork.
Love the new banner…glad spring is making its way to you :o)
Happy Belated Easter. Your table was so pretty as usual. And those cakes you made up there. OMGGGG is right. They look so good. Sounds like too much work for me though. Ill leave that baking thing to you.
