It’s that time of the year when the Ghastlies get to come out of hiding — Yipee!!!
Sorry for the absence around here — there just hasn’t been much blogworthy going on. I’ve been stitching a little every night (that TAW is going to be the death of me) and my little knitting project is done — just needs to be rinsed and blocked. Otherwise, it’s just our normal boring routine and trying to clean things up a little. We’ve been going through our bookshelves and trying to clean them out a bit — it’s a lot of work! I even cleaned up a teeny bit here on the blog — I updated the header to a fall theme and added an extra tab that shows some of my past thimble headers just for fun.
I’m all ready for the little trick-or-treaters tonight too. I love seeing the little kids come by – I really miss that part about having small children around. I met a friend for lunch this morning and there was an adorable little girl there all dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. Such a fun time for little kids!
Also, this is one of my favorite days of the year. Not because it’s Halloween, but because we end daylight savings time. Fall Back. An extra hour in the day. WOOHOO!!! I wish every day had an extra hour in it. Or maybe ten — yeah, an extra ten hours sounds a LOT better!
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!
XOXO,
Anna
love your new fall header. I don’t do too much for Halloween but I do have a bowl of candy as I know of at least one child that will be dropping by – out here in the country it has gotten less and less over the years.
I have been cleaning off the book shelves for years and continue to now and then – this fall it is clean out the bedroom time as we are getting a new set and dresser drawers and closets need a good going through – I have to be drastic and get rid of some of this stuff we never use
Yay! A pumpkin coach full of thimbles is so CUTE! And I could surely use a few extra hours myself.
Love your blog and all of your projects!!!! Happy Halloween!
ooo i LOVE the Ghastlies pillows! That’s what I will do with some of my fabric! LOVE them! And I also love the new header. We had 15 trick or treaters this year. 3 more than last year. But last year it was snowing and this year just raining. I don’t know where all the kiddies have gone. But that just leaves more in the grandkids trick or treat bags that we will deliver tomorrow. Happy extra hour!!!
Happy Halloween Anna xxx
You always have fun headers. You are very creative that way. Love your pillows. We had the usual rainy evening. When we went out for dinner, there were a few kids out with parents. The kids had to have coats on over the costumes. Would have been fun to know what the “Kid” was that had a box on his head! The costumes get more creative every year.
I look forward to seeing what you’ve been knitting! And I wonder, if we had ten more hours a day, would we get old faster?
PS Love your new header; so cute!
Everything looks so festive! And look at the new banner!!! Two thumbs up!
You have such fun Halloween decorations! Your coach of thimbles is brilliant. I hope you had lots of happy treaters in cute costumes.
I love your new header image! And your home looks all ready for the fun.
We don’t get many trick or treaters in the village. This year just two teenage girls, They’d made an effort with their costumes which I was happy to see.
Love the Thimble-ella Coach!
Hope you had a happy Trick-or-Treat.
Please toss a Reese’s in my bag.
Love the coach full of thimbles..it’s very fun! Had a fun Halloween with all the little grands and their cousins. 6 kids and 16 adults….so much fun walking the neighborhood although a few folks stayed behind to hand out candy! I can’t believe it’s November and I have no holiday projects done….lol!
I’m with you for the extra hour every day… At least!
love your halloween decorations and your ghastlies of course – such a great great quilt. Oh your new header is a delight! You have obviously mastered close up photography.
I hope you had lots of treaters. I miss living in a sidewalk neighborhood. We left out a small bucket of candy. We know some kids came, we usually get about 8. There was still candy in the bucket when we got home. would not have happened in NJ
Love the Ghastlies!!!!!
Lovely new banner/header! You are so creative! Love your fall decorating! Ghaslie, they are indeed awesome! BTW, did see at market that they are coming out with a new line! ;) Just a heads up! Cheers!
Great decorations, Anna! Hope you had a fun holiday.

your decorations are wonderful. i’m a minimalist. it’s a sad thing… but i can’t handle the SCHTUFF. i love your ghastlies quilt and pillow, and your jack-o-lanterns that are lanterns. i’m so happy i never started my TAW. it would have literally killed me to finish it and killed me to throw it away, realizing i would NEVER complete it. i was at my daughter’s house and we got NO trick or treaters!!!!!! we are sending the candy to the troops. there is a place that will do that for you with leftover, unwanted halloween candy.
okay, well… i’m off to save the world.
bye anna banana.
you’re my favorite blogger
oh, oh, i almost forgot, i have to go check out the store. i haven’t gotten any new fabric inna bit…. i’m thinking my hubby needs some liberty neck ties to spice up his gray suits. whatcha think about that?????
:waves madly
Love your Fall header and Halloween post! An extra 10 hours in a day sounds like what we all need!
