Photo Scavenger Hunt: March 2012

I actually managed to finish the photo scavenger hunt this month! Thanks, as always, to Kathy for hosting.

Scavenger Hunt

Street Name: Does every city in the U.S. have a Washington street?

Scavenger Hunt

Half of a Face:

Scavenger Hunt

Fashion: Does is have to be this century?

Scavenger Hunt

City: Shot of Indianapolis from the roof of the building that TheFirstChild and SweetiePie live in.

Scavenger Hunt

Landmark: The I-65 bridge over the Ohio River.  When the boys were growing up, they were always so excited to see “the big bridge”.  It meant we were almost half-way to Grandma’s!

Scavenger Hunt

Fancy: Easter Bunnies!

Kitchen: The kitchen ceiling was painted today.  (And I’m sorry, I inadvertently led you to believe that I painted the entry hall.  Not me!  I only stripped the wallpaper there.  I didn’t paint this ceiling either!)

Scavenger Hunt

Theatre: The historic Embassy Theatre.

That’s it for this month! And Happy April! I sure wish I could think of a fun April Fool’s prank to play on TheManoftheHouse. I feel like a big joke has been played on me — how can it possibly be April already???

XOXO,
Anna

  1. Love the paint color. I’m with you on April jumping up on us. Can’t believer we’re 1/4 of the way through the year already.

  2. oh I just love the Embassy theatre…too bad the picture of the outside doesnt capture the beauty of the inside!

and, from memory and a squillion games of Trivia Pursuit when I was younger, Park St is the most popular street name in the USA…but im sure you are right…Washington st has got to be right up there

  3. Great photos, I love that hat. I had a hard time with fashion and fancy, so my granddaughters helped me with those. I ended up posting my post accidentally before I was even done with my post, but I fixed that in a hurry :)

  4. good morning anna banana. i always love your scavenger hunts and what you come up with. me just thinks you is brilliant. hey, what is that huge sign on your painted wall? i’m a fan of big signs you know! that hat for fashion scares me and it looks like it’s on a bedpost. i hope you are having a fantastic weekend!

  5. That was quite a hunt this month! Can’t wait to see the finished little sewing – I have an idea what it is and what it is for!!

  6. I will swap you painting the ceilings for paperstripping. I got quite into making the ceilings beautiful during the kitchenapalooza.

  7. Sure, every town has a Washington (ave) and according to Chris Rock it’s where all the, well, hookers can be found! LOL

  8. Hello. I loved the post a few ago when you admitted how much you miss your boys. I thought I was the only one who admitted emptynestitude on blogs. Sigh.

  9. Lovely ceiling, Anna! Scrumptious buttons, as well. The colors are beautiful. Which makes me think I need to go button shopping! I’m trying to be good so it’s small treats for me. :)

Have a fab week, sweet friend!

  10. Great pictures this month. I am good with it being April already. Just gets us one month closer to Disney!!

  11. A good collection!! I wonder what the most popular street name is in Scotland? Where we live we don’t even have a street name ….. the satnav simply shows it as “road”!!

  12. Great Photos Anna! I especially enjoyed the picture of the Embassy. We’ve been there a few times and it’s a beautiful place! :)

  13. Funny you would mention what your kids called that bridge – my kids used to call that very same bridge “the poopy bridge” because it always seemed to be covered in birds and therefore bird poop! When we made it that far – we were half way to Grandma’s house too! We used to live in Muncie Indiana and made the trip down to Nashville to Grams house quite often. Now we have moved to the other end of I-65 – Alabama!
