We Have a Winner!

Ok, time to draw a winner for my four year blog anniversary.  After removing the duplicate comments and those who didn’t want to be entered, I cut and pasted the comments into a word document so they would automatically be numbered for me.  (I think this only works for WordPress comments. )  Then I consulted Random.org — the Random ManoftheHouse Generator is out grocery shopping, so we’re going high tech here.

Random Winner

Number 50, Come On Down!  According to my word document numbering, that’s YOU Terri — yes, YOU, the girl who never wins anything LOL.

Random Winner

Congratulations Terri!  And thank you, thank you to the rest of you for all of your wonderful comments.  It was so nice to read through all of them.  I usually call a truce on contest comments, so I hope you’ll forgive me for not answering them.  Back to our regularly scheduled programming now though — I might be slow, but I’ll try to get back with you if I hear from you!

Sleepy Scruff

It’s a lazy Saturday afternoon here in ThimbleannaLand.  Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions?  I think I might lie around this afternoon and try to organize some projects.  I don’t really make lists for any given year anymore, as I never get them finished.  I just sort of have an ongoing list.  Some projects have been on there so long though, that they need to be deep sixed.  I think maybe, instead of making a list of projects to complete this year, I’ll just come up with a general goal.  Maybe two UFO’s for every new project, or something like that.  I should make a resolution not to buy any more fabric (ironically, the FedEx man just rang the doorbell 20 minutes ago) but we know that’s not going to happen!

Sleepy Scruff

So, off to plan and dream.  And here’s fair warning — next time there will be finished quilts here in ThimbleannaLand.  Don’t want anyone keeling over out of shock or anything!

XOXO,
Anna

  1. Congrats to Terri for winning the goodies.
I love the picture of the kitty on the blue and white quilt. Do you think I could slip it out from under him like they slip a tablecloth out from under dishes – of course without ANNAbody noticing. (did you see how my accent changed there). thanks for sharing cool stuff sweetie.

  2. Yeah. I’m so excited I won I won. I’ve been texting my friends with my news. Thank you . I just love this blog. Terri

  3. Congratulations, Terri!
I want to be your cat – what a great life, rolling around in fabric and on beautiful quilts! Just kidding. I’d rather be sewing than rolling. But if my New Year’s non-Resolution doesn’t kick in soon, I’ll be rolling everywhere I go. Sheesh, enough with the eating already. (I think I make the same non-resolution every year.)
Anyway, I seem to get distracted from my UFOs (or PhDs – Projects Half Done) and start new things. Trying so hard not to do that this year. So far, so good. But I’m writing down my ideas for later…

  4. Congratulations Terri and also congratulations Anna on four fabulous years of blogging!

I’m not doing resolutions this year – just great big long lists of all the things I need to/ want to do!

  5. Awww…, love the sweet kitty on a beautiful quilt photo. It looks like he likes your idea of a lazy saturday afternoon. :)

  6. Well done Terri, now you can say you have won something . I’ve just kind of told myself that I’m going to do what I want with my knitting this year – but then again I said that last year and I still got swamped under ! Looking forward to seeing your finished quilts . I’m going to have a knitting day tomorrow – feet up :-)

  7. Congrats Terri!
I resolved not to make any resolutions really, rather just to let new habits evolve..
I have considered making lists with no more than two items on them though.
    :-)

  8. Congrats terri! Its always so fun to win something in blogland! Anna I have found the 2 to 1 ratio doesn’t work for me…I’m at 1 for 1 but breaks of all new things for showers and new babes et al don’t really count either…lol

  9. How great that Terri won when she hasn’t had much luck before.
I don’t make resolutions, I do have a word though to keep in mind. I go with the flow on the quilty front.

  10. Not only do they look like they must have been separated at birth, but your Empty Nest Child and my Casper both have discriminating taste in quilts!

  11. congrats terri!

snow abounds & i am going to hunker down in the kitchen tomorrow…make a variety of chocolate bark for upcoming gathering…& just maybe bake some “healthy” muffins!

    have a wonderful sunday!!

  12. Congratulations to Terri!
My NYR is to look like I did at 26, make mucho dinero this year and sew every day.
The mucho dinero part is to pay for the surgery.

  13. Look forward to seeing the finished quilts! I haven’t really made resolutions this year, but sewing wise, I have declared it ‘the year of the kits’ ….. I would love to make up most, if not all of the kits that I have accumulated, especially as a lot of them were bought on my travels.

  14. Love your kitty’s paws with pink and black pads! Of course, her face is pretty cute too!
Hope 2011 holds wonderful things for you and yours Anna.XX

  15. Lucky Terri! It’s funny you asked about resolutions– last year many of us did the one word resolutions, but I don’t know anyone who did that this year. (I decided not to because it was a fail last year. Should have borrowed your word and gone with chocolate :o)

Your blue and white quilt is so pretty. I love those two colors together. And your kitty is precious!

  16. I love, love, love your blue and white quilt that the kitty is resting on. I imagine that you made it youself. Sooooooo lovely!! And the kitty is adorable!!
    Hugs to Anna…
    Joni
